A Kitten Place is a 100% volunteer, donation-driven rescue dedicated to saving the most vulnerable cats and kittens — especially fragile neonates who need round-the-clock care. Through foster homes, community support, and TNVR efforts, we’re creating brighter futures for cats in need, one tiny life at a time.
Foster
Become a foster and provide a loving, nurturing home for one or more of our cats or kittens until they’re ready for adoption. All supplies and veterinary care are provided by the rescue—your love makes all the difference.
Adoption Events
We participate in several adoption events throughout the community each year, and we’d love your help spreading the word! Share information about these events on social media, at work, school, church, or anywhere you connect with others. We also often need volunteers to assist at the events. If you’re available, let us know—we’d love to have you join us!

A Kitten Place is completely powered by volunteers. From foster homes and event helpers to donors and transport drivers, every person makes a difference—and together we’re saving kittens across the Tampa Bay area.
Fundraising Events
A Kitten Place Rescue hosts several fundraising events throughout the year, including our Annual Black Cat 5K Fun Run. These events are vital to supporting our rescue efforts and are always fun, community-focused experiences. Their success depends on the help of dedicated volunteers.
Opportunities may include event setup and
teardown, registration and packet distribution, activity support, coordination, and more. Join us, make a difference, and have fun while helping save lives!
Transportation
Our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes throughout the Tampa Bay area. At times, we need help transporting them to vet or spay/neuter appointments, or between foster homes. If you have a vehicle and some extra time, consider volunteering as a transport driver—this high-demand role makes a big difference in their lives!
Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return (TNVR)
TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) is a humane, proven way to manage feral and community cats. Cats are safely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their colonies.
Dedicated volunteers help provide food, shelter, and ongoing care. TNVR is the most effective and compassionate way to stabilize and reduce feral cat populations—join our TNVR team and help make a lasting difference.

Too busy to foster or volunteer? You can still be part of the rescue. Your donation helps provide food, litter, kitten formula, medical care, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccines, and emergency treatment—every dollar helps us save more lives at A Kitten Place.
